Early Years Wellbeing Week launched in 2018 in line with World Mental Health Day which takes place on 10 October. The initiative was founded to support early years educators to deal healthily with the increasingly demanding nature of the role, to raise mental health awareness and to promote strategies for maintaining health and wellbeing. The theme for WMHD 2024, 'It is Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace'.
EYWW 2024, runs from 7 to 13 October.
During EYWW, let’s all come together to talk about mental health and show everyone that early years educator mental health matters.
Bring your colleagues together by creating an event in your workplace, together let's make wellbeing a usual part of everyday conversation!
Decide when and where you will hold your event. Don't forget that 10 October is World Mental Health Day.
Tell everyone you know!! Use newsletters, posters, emails and social media to let as many as many people know as possible, and use our logo to spread the word in your early years community.
It doesn’t have to be about mental health. We know connecting with others is good for your mental health!
We love to see your social media posts throughout the week. Use and search the #EYWellbeingWeek
